Hi everyone! I am mommy Bianca/caramel. I am a mother to my first son, Aidan Ryleigh. Since he is my first son, I looked forward to all his 1st (experiences), especially his 1st birthday! His party was held last Saturday, October 2 at Jollibee Evangelista. And now I would like to share the preparations I had or made a few months before the big day. ^^
I owe a lot of things and information from SP and from my sissies in SP.
From the first thing to do to the things I should buy were all from SP.
First, I had to choose which theme would be used in the party. I chose Disney Cars.
I thought it was easy to look for party items under this theme and for the reason that it really suits a boy.
Boys love cars! =D
Second, I list down all the things I should buy, the things I should do and the suppliers I should contact.
I also kept on reading threads about planning a party, balloon DIY and supplier ratings.
In March, I saw a racing suit for sale in SP, so I grabbed the opportunity and bought it! =D
Third thing I did was to get things in action. I started planning last February 2010 and I first went to Divilandia in March with my kumareng Mika. At first, it was hard to find items that would be put in the lootbags, but luckily the first item we saw in 168 mall is the eraser! We were so glad to see that there were lots of stocks. We also bought the crayons (not cars themed =/) in the same store. On the sidewalk of Divi, we found an old store and we bought cars themed buttons pins for 150php; grand prize big pencil with crayon pencil inside; 12pcs Disney Cars plastic cups; and, Cars themed key chains. We also bought stickers. Outside 168 mall, we found a big store of toys and we bought there miniature cars.

Still in Divi, we looked for balloons store because I planned to have DIY balloons.
We were able to buy balloons in Anding's because we compared prices with Kyla Mae's and we realized that Anding's offers a much cheaper price.
We were also able to buy Disney Cars towel outside divi mall. We also canvassed the prices of tarp printing in Divilandia, even invitations!
Then, in the succeeding months, I started scouting for suppliers like entertainment, cake and cupcakes suppliers and photographers and the venue. My first choice for the venue was Shakey's Bluewave, but we didn't agree on the theme and other party needs, so I had to put an crossed it out on my list.
Next was Jollibee Bluewave, we didn't agree on the time and I hear feed backs that the food were not properly cooked so I had to dropped another option. And lastly, I thought of Jollibee near our place and I was able to reserve the venue 1st week of September. =D
I wasn't able to go back to Divilandia to complete my lootbag contents until September (Chuseok means holiday for us!)
My kumares and I bought other stuffs like Disney Cars themed pencils, cars mini-notebooks or autographs (naubusan na kasi ng notebooks so hinaluan ko na lang ng slambooks para maiba naman =p), cars wallets, lootbags, mini-cars figure, and tumbler with straws. We also bought a cars-themed pinyata.
